Man-Bat is a character from DC Comics. Originally introduced in Detective Comics #400 (April 1970), the character is typically portrayed as Dr. Kirk Langstrom, a zoologist specializing in bats.
Langstrom developed a serum to give humans bat-like sonar abilities. Testing it on himself, he transformed into a monstrous bat-human hybrid. While sometimes depicted as a tragic figure seeking a cure, Man-Bat is often a dangerous villain.
Man-Bat appears in 'The Lego Batman Movie' where he is one of the many supervillains helping the Joker wreak havoc. He is also known as 'Batleader'.
